EXPERIENCE
Francesca Mintowt-Czyz began teaching in 2010, working with the Laramie Young Actors Studio under the direction of John O'Hagan and Dare2Dance with Wendy DeLa Harpe. After earning her BFA in Theatre Performance, she pursued Theatre in Education (TIE) performance work in and around Europe, working with White Horse Theatre and the American Drama Group to provide quality productions performed to audiences who speak English as a second language. Her passion for performing in the TIE sector transformed into a drive to educate young artists in the theatre arts, and Mintowt-Czyz began pursuing work as a youth educator.
Since graduating with my MA from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), Mintowt-Czyz has taught with youth theatre programs in Italy, Greece, China, and across the United Kingdom and US, working with notable companies such as Theatre Workout and Jigsaw Performing Arts. She has taught acting, stage makeup, dance (jazz, tap, ballet), devising, playwriting, Shakespeare, and Commedia dell'arte.
In the winter of 2021 Mintowt-Czyz worked as the Programming Director for the Front Porch Improv Youth Theatre camps, where she also worked as an instructor. It was during these week-long training programs that students learned how to act, sing, dance, run lights and sound from the booth, and write and produce their own short films.
It is a priority as an educator is to build confidence in each individual and each group Mintowt-Czyz has the privilege to work with.
