About
Hello! I'm Francesca Mintowt-Czyz and I am an artist, educator, and movement storyteller. Here's a little about me and the heart behind the work I do:
I am all about movement, meaning, and a whole lot of joy. I wear many creative hats: actor, director, choreographer, educator, and dialect coach, and have a soft spot for collaboration and making bold, physical work.
I hold an MA in Physical Theatre and Devising from RADA and an MFA in Performing Arts from SCAD, but I believe some of my best lessons have come from play, sweat, and spontaneous bursts of laughter during rehearsals. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Voice and Movement at Weber State University, where I teach everything from musical theatre dance to on-camera acting, always encouraging my students to lead with curiosity and heart.
When I’m not in the studio or classroom, I can be found running outdoors, getting paint under my fingernails, cooking up something cozy, or fiercely competing in a game of Scrabble (don’t let the smile fool you...I play to win). At the center of it all is my belief that joy, generosity, and playfulness are essential tools for artists and humans alike.
